Meet sweet young Susie She came to rescue from

a breeder.  She had demodectic mange that appeared to have never been treated.  It was most certainly brought on when she was spayed.  In addition to a horrible case of mange Dr. Blackburn found she also had whipworms.  She is heartworm negative and up to date on all of her vaccinations.  Susie is only 1 year old and in need of lots of TLC. She's in the perfect foster home where she is going to be plenty spoiled!   When you look in her soulful eyes you melt and simply see a young Pug who you want to love and take of.

Her foster Mom is using the same solution on her skin as  Pokey & Bubby's foster mom, Laura mixed up for them. Susie is also getting supplements especially chosen to help her body recover as quickly as possible.   Her case is no near as extreme as the boys and we expect to continue to see dramatic improvements. Hence coming from a breeder she's wasn't accustomed to a lot of human attention and affection.  In spite of that, she trusting, mild mannered.  Susie's deliciously sweet disposition would blend well with a family that appreciates their pets in every way.  She's will easily and certainly adapt herself to a new environment.  She would be perfect in a situation with other pets and small children that know how to treat a pet.

My name is Eli and I'm only 7months old. I'm full of energy and don't have an "off" button. I have a foster Pug brother and sister. He ignores me and she is very tolerant of my playfulness. I'm a healthy boy and up to date on my shots. I have been neutered and I've also had surgery to enlarge my nasal openings. Once I settle down I'm very lovable and would make someone a very good friend and companion. If you are interested in me, please fill out an application to adopt. Once you do that you can talk to my foster Mom to find out more about me.
UPDATE 12-30-06 Pokey (aka Gabbana) was playful and curious when he came to rescue. He and his foster sister Poppy became fast friends.    Bubby aka Dolche)  was so ill he was unable to walk because of the mange on his feet. He was happy to lay in yours arms and be wrapped in hugs.  His foster Mom did extensive research to find out what she could do to help in the recovery process.  She carefully tended to their wounds and bathed them in a solution she made. She gave them supplements especially chosen to give their body and coat what it need to heal.  They are both miraculous Pugs. They both have beautiful coats and they are acting like normal 7 month old puppies. Bubby is energetic now and refuses to be left behind when it comes to playtime with Poppy and his brother. He follows them around and he loves to lounge with Bubby will they both chew on the same bone.  They will both be neutered soon and then ready for their "forever" home.  We will do everything possible to keep them together.

Amber is a 3 year old female who was turned over by her owner.  She was initially shy when she arrived in her foster home but, now  her personality is starting to emerge...she's a typical little pug...very curious about everything!  Amber loves children and does well with other pets (including cats)   She knows a few simple commands.  Amber enjoys going on walks and barks at strangers until they acknowledge her so she can love on them.  She is completely housetrained and has enjoys the freedom of the dog door and goes in and out all the time.  If she wants to go out and the doggie door is closed she will scratch at the door.  other is closed.  One of her favorite things is to have her belly rubbed!  Amber is healthy, up to date on her shots and ready for her forever home.

Peaches is 7 yrs old and recently retired from a breeding kennel.  Female dogs are typically bred from the first time they go into heat and are bred every cycle. In spite of this she is a healthy girl. She has been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm checked and had her teeth cleaned. She is crate trained but not housetrained.. yet. -. She is a very petite girl, around 14 lbs. She is learning what fun it is to be a pet , walk on a leash and discover all types of new smells. She is very happy and very lucky to be in a foster home now, but dreams of having her very own permanent home.

Bitsy is an adorable 4 year old who was turned over by her owner.  She is fond of everyone, especially children.  Bitsy is very affectionate and loves to curl up in a warm lap and snooze.  She gets along with other pets.

This 10 year old senior wasn’t smiling when she was turned over to rescue.  Her owner’s family turned her over because the owner had to go into assisted living facility and could not take Cricket.  Her first few days in foster care she moped around looking for her owner and had no interest anything or anyone.  Her personality is beginning to shine through now and this Pug is well worth all the love and attention anybody is willing to give to her. This spry girl personifies the seniors who come to rescue because their owners either can't or won't care for them anymore. They are precious and so is every day of additional life that we can give them.  She’s healthy, up to date on her shots…..she’s a little overweight, but doesn’t care about being carried around anyway.  She can go up and down steps, but won’t jump on or off furniture. She likes her toys, but prefers sleeping on top of them in her bed.  Cricket gets along with other pets and is good with children.  If you are looking for the perfect companion who has years of love and good times left to give, consider this lovely girl.
